“My dad was in the Navy and he was a radio man. He had trained for that job in Kansas City, where he met my mother. he was stationed at New Caledonia, in the South Pacific. The picture with Truman was taken when he was president of the Jewish War Veterans. I have a picture of him in his uniform somewhere and will send it to you when I find it.”
