"So, the third Chanukah candle is Zayda Abe Cohn's bday (that’s when we’d celebrate it anyway). This picture was taken at a CBS Family Club Chanukah party that we celebrated at the old JCC on 82nd & Holmes. My mom (Marietta Cohn) baked a big bday chocolate sheet cake with chocolate banana icing to share with everyone. It was a big hit and Zayda Abe enjoyed his party!
We kind of stopped doing the parties. Then years later we had a CBS reunion Chanukah party. When we find our slides I'll share the pics and maybe movies too. It was nice, we all lit candles together! David Baellow kind of took the lead (in his fathers footsteps) and led us that evening. It was great getting the fam together!
