Rabbi Wilamowski at Goldman house in Israel-Loma YB. 1947. See notes.

Per Zvi Wilamowsky: "The name Wilamowsky originally was "Villanovsky"

Vilanova is the name of a well known city in Poland and as you can tell it means new house, villa being house and nova being new. Villanovsky mean from Villanova, so the name could well have been adopted by several people.

The name newhouse is quite common as well."
