This was a handout at one of the annual meetings of the Jewish Progressive Society whose sole purpose was to sponsor the Credit Union. My father was the treasurer and the Credit Union "office" was The Family Shoe Store at 51 West Bay St.

Israel Lipson was a tailor whose shop was on the 2nd floor of the same building but its entrance was around the corner on Laura Street.

Moe Safer was one of the owners of Safer's kosher meat market.
Samuel Thier was the father of David Thier, one of my classmates.

I later became one of the Credit Union directors during the year before I made aliya.
