Todd,
The card says: "For a nice memory to my relatives"
I don't know who he is, but I noticed that the photo has a stamp of Antwerpen, so I did some search, and found a Belgium immigration record that seem to much his family (a wife, 3 sons and a daughter).

My father had only a few memories from there … of Russian soldiers holding the family at gunpoint while ransacking the house, and shooting at them when they escaped across the Dniester river.

He was 12 when the family arrived in New York. Louis and Ben came first to work and save money, then brought Rose and the younger children over later.

Note that Belgium surrendered to the Nazi's in 1940. 25,437 Jews were deported primarily to Aushwitz from Belgium of which only 1,207 survived.
