Berl Steinlauf with his nieces Jennie Blonder (almost 50 years old) and Rose Marcus (almost 40 years old) (sisters). Bus to NY City. 1937 or 38, Grandpa is seeing them off on their way to Poland to see relatives there. They returned to America before the borders were closed. Rose and Jennie were born there but returned for visits more than once.
The reason they went to Europe to try and save the family from the oncoming war. They were not successful.

Hi Todd,
Thank you for sending the photo of my Grandma Jenny, and her sister Rose ready to leave for their trip to Poland. Jenny and her son (and my father), Leo paid for her journey.
