Letter from Yentl Steinlauf. Page 2 of 2. November 20, 1938. See notes.

Copy of Letters from Ellis Schuman from the Holocaust, Nazis, Auschwitz.

From here many people are going to America now. Had I been healthy, I also would have gone to you, to my dear father. Too bad that my beloved aunt is also sick. They say it is good to put hot sand on rheumatism. I am putting sand into small bags and putting it on the aching places.

may God not forsake us and let the diaspora for Jews cease. I greet you and want to touch your hands. Please give regards to aunt and kisses to my sisters. Wish them good health and success in business. One can hear people taking that what happens to Jews in Germany will happen to Jews in Poland. So Jews must be reminded of Palestine and may the gentiles not live to see what they wish on Jews.

I am concluding my letter and wish you all the best.
Your daughter,
Yentl

Please answer in detail. Regards to Rachel Marcus.
